Shrovetide Fair and Pancake Races 2012

Lichfield City Council will be hosting the traditional Pancake Races in Bore Street on Shrove Tuesday, 21 February at 12 noon. There will be the usual Men's, Women's and Mascot's Races. Those wishing to enter the races can download the race rules and entry form which should be returned by email to kate.durrant@lichfield.gov.uk or to the City Council offices at 53 Wade Street, Lichfield, WS13 6HL. All entrants should register in the Guildroom, Bore Street by 11.15am on the day.

Following the races, the Mayor of Lichfield, Cllr Brian Bacon, together with the Civic Party will process to the Market Square to perform the historic custom of opening the 'Old Fair'. Children will be able to claim their free fairground ride.
