Lichfield took advantage of the glorious weather to host a number of events to mark St George's Day. Events included the historic St George's Court, which was held in a packed Guildhall, on Saturday, 23 April. With surprise guest The Swig, aka Nick Sedgwick; official Ale Taster, who entertained guests with a report on the state of Lichfield's public houses. Topical reports were also forthcoming from the High Constables, Mr Simon Price and Mr Peter Barrett. Festivities continued on the Market Square, with a full day of entertainment and a themed St George's Day market. Lichfield City Council would like to thank all those performers who provided entertainment to market shoppers and helped Lichfield fly the flag for England and St George.
