Charity Walk

Published: 27 January 2011

On Sunday 13th February, I will be leading the Sheriff's Darwin Walk around the City of Lichfield accompanied by members of the Darwin Walk Trust, who will direct walkers.

We will leave from the car park at Beacon Park (Bunkers Hill, off Lower Sandford Street) at 10.00 am and we will stop for a break at Curborough Craft Centre after 5 miles, where refreshments can be purchased at Mabel's Tea Room. Walkers can also join or leave us at this point, which we should reach at 12 noon.

The walk will then proceed and will end back at Bunkers Hill at approximately 2.30 pm.

Everyone including families and dogs (on leads) are most welcome. Please wear stout shoes, as the walk may be muddy in some parts, otherwise the going is easy.

No charge will be made for participating in the walk, but donations will be gratefully received for the Mayor and Sheriff's charities.

If you require further details please contact the City Council Offices at the Guildhall on 01543 309854.

Councillor Colin Greatorex,
Sheriff of Lichfield
