annual Entertainment and Tea

Spring was in full bloom, with daffodils and irises decorating the tables at the Curborough Community Centre when the Mayor of Lichfield, Councillor Terry Thomas and the Sheriff, Simon Price, hosted the annual Entertainment and Tea on Tuesday, 24 March.

The event is held for residents aged 70 and over, and more than 70 guests sat down to high tea served by members of Lichfield City Council. The highly acclaimed, Lichfield Singers provided music, song and recitation from their extensive repertoire, with guests joining in the singing of all the old favourites. The afternoon closed with thanks from the Mayor to all the voluntary helpers, including St John Ambulance and Community Transport who annually support the event.
