Mayor and Sheriff's charity

On Wednesday, 16 July in the Mayor's Parlour, Guildhall, Councillor Mark Warfield Mayor of Lichfield and Councillor Terry Thomas (Sheriff 2007-2008) presented cheques to representatives for their nominated charities. During their year in office the Mayor and Sheriff raised over £3,800 and this was distributed equally between each of their chosen charities;
Representatives from Lichfield 'Walk and Talk', Lichfield Royal British Legion Welfare, the County Air Ambulance, and the Lichfield and Hatherton Canal Trust were presented with cheques for £960 each. During their year in office, the Civic Pair have hosted sponsored walks and cycle rides, concerts and charity balls. Councillor Warfield and Councillor Thomas would like to thank all the local businesses and groups who have supported their fundraising activities during the year.
