Shrovetide and Pancake Races Tuesday, 16 February 2010

Preparations are underway for the traditional opening of the Shrovetide Fair at 12 noon on Tuesday, 16 February by the Mayor of Lichfield Councillor Terry Thomas. The races are a feature of the Shrovetide Fair and take place in Bore Street, Lichfield. This year entrants are invited to register for the following races; men's, women's, mascots representing local traders, and children's races for age groups 6-8 years, 9-11 years and 12-15 years. (16+ enter either the men's or women's race). Prizes will be awarded to the winners.
