The Mayor and the Sheriff

CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR GREETINGS FROM COUNCILLOR MARK WARFIELD THE MAYOR OF LICHFIELD AND COUNCILLOR NORMA BACON THE SHERIFF OF LICHFIELD

In almost no time at all another year passes and the festive season is upon us again.

In Lichfield we see a festive spirit in action during the whole year and not just at Christmas time. People are not only generous their money but with the most precious gift of all - their time.

During our term of office we have seen how volunteers work tirelessly in the community to support others and raise much needed funds for charity. This rich vein of generosity enables our City of Lichfield to flourish in its cultural and spiritual development and there seems to be no bounds when it comes to the mutual kindness and support we show one another.

This Christmas let us remember to support each other and continue our wonderful tradition of a caring and sharing community. Let us also remember those who cannot spend this joyous occasion with their loved ones; members of the Services operating away from home, emergency services on standby to keep us safe, medical personnel tending to the sick and many others who play an essential role in our wellbeing.

We wish you all a very happy Christmas and Peaceful New Year.

Councillor Mark Warfield
Mayor of Lichfield

Councillor Norma Bacon
Sheriff of Lichfield
