Big Band Sounds at the Guildhall

Nether Stowe Big Band

A treat is in store for Jazz and Big Band enthusiasts. On Friday, 14 November 2008 Nether Stowe Big Band will be sounding out at the Guildhall for the Mayor and Sheriff's Charities . A school band with a professional sound, playing better than before despite the fact that like most school bands they lose key players at the end of each academic year. David Thomas, Musical Director works magic to produce a sound well worth listening to. Also performing will be Grace Miller - a relative newcomer to the Lichfield music scene - she's a petite 16 year old with a big voice; a massive jazz talent - catch her while you can, she will be accompanied by Stuart Jones.

Proceeds will go to the Mayor and Sheriff's nominated charities: Talking Newspapers and Voluntary Transport for the Disabled. The concert starts at 8,00pm and tickets priced at £5 are available from Kate Durrant, Lichfield City Council, 53 Wade Street, Lichfield. Telephone: 01543 309854 or email kate.durrant@lichfield.gov.uk.
