REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY SERVICE - 8 NOVEMBER 2020
Due to current Lockdown 2.0 restrictions, Lichfield Cathedral has sadly cancelled their Remembrance Sunday Service, however this service will be live streamed on Sunday 8th November at 10:30am allowing you to view from the safety of your own home. Lichfield City Council is encouraging citizens to stay safe and “Remember at Home”. Please use the link below to view the Cathedral Service on Sunday.

Deputy Lieutenant of Staffordshire, Colonel Christopher Comport OBE TD DL, accompanied by the Mayor of Lichfield, Cllr Deborah Baker and Chairman of Lichfield District Council, Cllr Joseph Powell were able to attend a small wreath laying ceremony at the Remembrance Gardens filmed earlier this week prior to lockdown restrictions. This is now available for viewing via YouTube, please see link below.

Sadly this year there will be no parade, civic procession or formal wreath-laying ceremony in the Gardens of Remembrance. In order to reduce the potential for a large gathering, those who wish to lay a wreath in the Gardens of Remembrance are asked to do so throughout the day on Sunday 8 November rather than all gathering at 11.00am; the Gardens will remain open all day. Anyone visiting the Gardens on Sunday is kindly asked to adhere to strict social distancing and observe the one-way system at all times.
Please Stay Safe and Remember at Home.
Lest we forget.
