Lichfield Farmers' Market 15th Anniversary

Published: 31 May 2016

Farmers MarketLichfield’s popular monthly Farmers’ Market celebrates its 15th anniversary on Thursday 2 June.

Stalls open for business on the Market Square from 9am and we will be marking the occasion with a cake, raffle competition, face painting, craft activities for children, an owl display and entertainment.

We will have the usual quality selection of baked goods and cakes, cheeses, wine, meat and cider, to name a few, as well as hand crafted and bespoke lines.

The anniversary will also be marked by a competition to win vouchers to spend at the Farmers’ Market. Money raised from the raffle with benefit the Mayor and Sheriff’s nominated charities, the We Love Lichfield Fund and the Erasmus Darwin Foundation.

The Mayor of Derby, Councillor Sheelagh James will be talking to stall holders and customers from 1pm, and the raffle will be drawn at 2pm and we will try to make sure as many people as possible get a piece of cake!

Four of the original traders at the very first Farmers’ Market held in Lichfield are still successfully trading today – Packington Moor Farm, 19 Gales Farmhouse Foods, Woodhouse Farm and Woodhouse Green Nurseries.

We look forward to seeing you there.
