Additional Christmas Markets on the Market Square

During Christmas week extra Markets will be held on the historic market square in the heart of the City on Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 December

This is the perfect chance to get all your last-minute gifts and fresh produce before the big day as our established traders will be on hand to offer a wide variety of goods from fruit and vegetables, fresh fish and meat ,cakes, plants, leather goods and clothes and much more besides.

With the exception of Tuesday 26 December ( Boxing Day) the weekly general Markets will continue on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

In addition, the Producers Market will be held on the first Sunday in February and the next Vegan Market will return on 21 January 2024 Both markets have proven very popular with traders and residents alike and continue to grow in popularity.

Councillor James Blackman, Chair of Lichfield City Council’s Market Working Group said.

“Having these extra markets supports our traders and local economy, on the run up to Christmas, and is the perfect opportunity to shop locally”

A reminder that the Market Square is also available for hire on a commercial or charitable basis on non-market days and we welcome community groups and charities who would like to make use of this valuable city centre resource.
