Mayor and Sheriff's Charities Cheque Presentation

On Monday 24 June Councillor David Leytham, former Mayor of Lichfield accompanied by Mrs Jan Leytham-Gain and Mr Michael Mullarkey, former Sheriff of Lichfield, accompanied by Mrs Mary Mullarkey presented cheques to representatives of their nominated charities.

During their year in office the Mayor and Sheriff raised £10,206.26 which was distributed between their two chosen charities, St Mary’s in the Market Square and Lichfield Greenhill Bower Charitable Trust. Nick Sedgwick representing St. Mary’s in the Market Square and Paul Davies representing Lichfield Greenhill Bower Charitable Trust were delighted to each receive a cheque for £5,103.13.

The former Mayor and Sheriff hosted a variety of successful charity events throughout their year in office, including a Barn Dance, Black & White Ball, Christmas Wreath Making Masterclass, Beer & Skittles Evening and a Sunday Lunch, 

Councillor David Leytham and Mr Michael Mullarkey would like to offer their sincere thanks to all the local businesses, groups and individuals who supported their fundraising activities and for their wonderful generosity towards two very worthy causes.
