Salary: £22,369 - £24,054 (Full Time Equivalent)

Approx £14,539 - £15,635 Pro Rata (single post)

Approx £7,269.50 - £7,817.50 (per post on a 50/50 job share basis)

The City Council is inviting applications for this permanent, part-time position. The successful applicant/s will be responsible for providing an efficient Markets service to include the weekly Tuesday, Friday and Saturday Markets held on Market Square. The successful applicant/s will ensure that code of conduct, licence conditions and operating procedures are adhered to at all times. Other duties include collection of rents, allocation of pitches as necessary, input of markets finance data to SAGE accounts software, liaison with market traders and members of the public, non-Market Day bookings on the Square and social media promotion of the Market and its traders.

Based at the City Council offices at Donegal House, Bore St, this is an interesting and varied post for which you should have a keen work ethic, good attention to detail, numeracy skills and a firm but fair manner. The post is pensionable through the Staffordshire County Council scheme.

The City Council is willing to consider this role as a job share opportunity, and therefore welcomes applications from those who would wish to work the full 24 hour week provided by this post, or those who would prefer to job share based on two postholders working an average 12 hour week each.
